  It's the strangest museum I have have ever seen, regarding the logic- or the lack of it- in arranging the exhibits. Marble sculptures mixed with stuffed animals, with no possible connection. Beautiful paintings hidden on a hallway near the toilet...
  As a plus, the building is beautiful, free entrance and organ concerto at 1:00 pm.

  Really interesting and varied free museum and galley (though you can make a donation of course).
  
  Has a mix of everything from Scottish history, natural history and wildlife, weapons and armour, and a range of artworks, including Dali. Oh and a Spitfire that barely fits into the room it is hung in!
  
  We spent a good couple of hours in here, not expecting to, but there was plenty to see and the variety worked for a group of 5 of us of a wide spread of ages. The building itself is stunning, and wandering around its interior is worth a trip itself.
